The customer number represents an important identification feature. Please have your customer number ready for any correspondence with us. Our service times and contact options may change. Please always note the contact options on suewag.de. The period specified is the billing period of the annual consumption bill you have received. You will also find the name of your tariff here. You have consumed the specified kilowatt hours in the previously specified billing period (total consumption). The table provides an overview of your energy costs (the costs for your aforementioned consumption) and the payments made (instalments). These payments are offset against the energy costs. Depending on whether we pay you a credit balance or have a debit balance against you, the instalment for the coming month will be deducted directly from your credit balance, i.e. we will not debit the instalment for the coming month separately. There may be exceptions here, e.g. if the annual consumption bill overlaps with the next instalment payment. Please note: immediate bonuses (Sofortbonus) and permanent bonuses (Dauerbonus) are payments that you receive directly into your account. These are not offset against the annual financial statements. We will notify you of these two bonuses by post. We usually show further discounts and bonuses in this overview. Here, we will inform you about the amount of your new monthly instalment. The due dates can be found under the item “Advance Payment billing dates.” When calculating consumption, you can see how much energy you have consumed in which period. Our bills are issued for a period of approx. 12 months. If you receive a breakdown of the periods, then there have been price or tax changes in this period. If, for example, the taxes change within a period, then the breakdown of consumption up to the date of the change (old tax rate) and for the period thereafter (new tax rate) is required. The difference between your “old” meter reading and your “new” meter reading is your consumption in kilowatt hours (kWh). The letters a, b, c and c after the meter readings show you whether the meter reading was provided by the grid operator (a), calculated (b) or read by you (c). When calculating the right amount, the consumption price and the electricity tax are multiplied by your previously stated rate(s) of consumption. Together with the base price and the fee for metering point operation, this results in the energy costs (excluding VAT). The electricity tax is linked to fiscal and environmental policy objectives. For example, part of the electricity tax revenue flows into the statutory pension insurance scheme. The electricity tax is also intended to incentivise energy saving. In principle, all electricity consumption is taxed. Metering charges are fees charged for the maintenance and removal of your electricity meter. These are used to cover the costs of metering electricity consumption, which are charged by the metering point operators. The fee for operating your metering point depends on various factors, such as electricity consumption, the type of meter and the region in which you live. You will find an overview with the respective prices per month on our tariff pages and on your order confirmation. You can see your current rate of consumption in the table and compare it with that of the last billing period. The composition of the electricity price is very complex. The three key components are costs regulated by law, costs set by the state and costs that can be influenced by the energy supplier. A detailed description can be found under the following link. The chart details the composition of our electricity tariffs and a comparison with electricity generation in Germany. You can always find the current energy mix on our website. Here, you can see at a glance which tariff you have taken out with us, as well as information on contract renewal and cancellation. The diagram shows your current electricity consumption compared to the previous year. You will also receive an overview of the average annual electricity consumption per household size. Depending on the number of people living in a household, you can categorise your current consumption as economical, average or high. Here, we indicate the dates when we will debit your instalment or when you can transfer your instalment to us, preferably by way of standing order. If we have received a SEPA direct debit mandate, we will inform you here of the bank and account from which the instalment amount will be collected on the due date. For data protection reasons, your bank details are not displayed in full. If you have a tariff that comes with a bonus, you will find an overview of the bonuses we pay out here. Here, you will find your meter number, metering location ID, market location ID, grid operator, code number, metering point operator, code number.
